went to virgin megastore, bought rashid taha’s new album (btw it’s fabulous), bought a book, and:
he: good evening sir, how are you?
me: hey, good evening, i am fine .. how are you?
he: i am fine thank you. long ago!
me: yes, i was really busy, btw where is the art section gone, i can’t find it!!
he: the art section!
me: yes.
he: not anymore.
me: not anymore!!!
he: not anymore!!!
me: censorship.
he: yes.
me: GOD help us.
he: exactly.

„ art books

went to kuwait city today, i had things to do there which it was supposed to take just half an hour from my time, but with the traffic jam i spent more than 2 hours. anyway, decided to go to “the kuwait bookshops”, which is the biggest bookshop in kuwait.

me: good morning.
he: good morning sir.
me: there was an art section here before, but i can’t find it!
he: you mean these logos books.
me: not just logos, i mean all kind of art like cinema, graphics, photography, advertising, et cetera, so i am searching for the life books.
he: sorry sir, we don’t have a life.
me: what do you mean!!!
he: they are censoring the art books, so they keep marking the pages with a black marker, stickers and sometimes they cut the whole page.
me: but i can’t find any book here!!!
he: because we don’t buy them anymore, because people don’t buy books with those black marks.
me: i see!
he: but you can find there on that shelf some art books, but those are a kids books.
me: good, i love kids books.
he: but they are censored also.
me: i see!!!

„ sandstorm (touz) II

he: oh my GOD, not again.
me: what’s happened?!
he: i just got a phone call, there is a horrible sandstorm in “al jahra” area, which means it will reach here in 30 min. maximum … offff, not again.
me: yes, i know, we need a break … the last sandstorm was just 4 days ago.
he: btw, it seems like it’s really bad, the sky there is red right now.
me: wow, great.
he: what!!! great!!!
me: red sky, which means great photographs. wow.
he: !!!

silent mood

i am in a silent mood, it’s like a week or more, i am trying my best to get out of this … and i think it will be soon, so till this happen i will try my best to post, just any post, maybe this will help me to start blogging again.

yahoo mail .. and the worst thing ever

this is one of the worst thing that ever happen to me .. i have 2 important (and i mean it, improtant) messages in my email box, i was waiting them, and now i can’t open them, i can’t open my emails, i just can sign in, view the subject of the emails (reply urgently), and that’s it, i cant read them.
this is my second day and still i can’t find a solution … this is the worst thing ever.

„ the aware center photography competition ‘07

i received an email from “aware center” regarding their photography competition .. the theme is “kuwait through your eyes”.
again “aware center” is doing another useful thing, it’s still one of the few places in kuwait that provide something useful, really. i wish that kuwait “one day” will have lots of places and organizations that support the society and provide a good and useful environment, and no more shopping malls.

international design forum .. dubai

design, workshops, challenges, artists from all over the world, people from everywere, creativity .. again and again dubai play as a leader in everything in the arab world. what a city. anyway, my plan was to join this forum, but till now i am not sure about it, but i will try my best to go there, i really need a break from work.

„ virgin megastore .. open

just came from virgin megastore. they opened there doors 4 days ago, but i couldn’t go there because i was really busy. so what i found there is: a more organized place, it’s really organized, things are in their places .. simply it’s a better place now, so it seems like the staff found the close of virgin megastore a good chance to organize and clean everything inside the store .. but everything else seems normal, same cds same books same people .. nothing changed!!!
