headline: Politicias will probably tell you that plates are getting bigger.
body copy: You may not have noticed, but fish have gradually been getting smaller and smaller. There aren’t enough adult fish in the sea to meet demand. so fishermen are catching baby ones. The fish on your plate probably didn’t live long enough to reproduce, as a result the stock it came from didn’t get a chance to recover. Scientists have been warning the politicians about the disastrous effects of overfishing for years, but the powers that be chose to stick their heads in the sand and think of the short term. Well now it’s their last chance. This year, ministers will vote on the future of the EU common fisheries policy. Unless they make radical changes, marine eco-systems will be destroyed and fish will become a rare delicacy. If we don’t stop overfishing now, fishing will be over.

the fundamentals of drawing portraits ..& the fundamentals of drawing still alife
these two book are essential for everyone who wants to improve their drawing skills. written by teacher and established artist “barrington barber”, each book contains a wealth of know how and practical advice, supported by over 300 original illustrations. guidance is given on how to overcome common difficulties without imposing a particular style or approach. the aim throughout is to help you discover your artistic purpose while giving you the technical tools necessary if you are to produce work you will be proud to call your own.
so this was the book review from the back cover of the book, i just copied it :-) … but these two books are really good.

the third book is “learn to paint flower in pastel” … this is a small book that gives you the basic techniques of painting flowers in pastel, and provides many practical exercises and step-by-step demonstration paintings… written by “john blockley”
but this book has 4 pages screwed-up .. and this is the only book in my whole collection that has this problem. all the rest of my books are like new, even after reading them 3 and 4 times :-)… i love books, so i take care of them.

islamic designs, african designs, ancient egyptian designs are the first 3 books that i decided to start the 40 books review [the books that i am selling] with.
british museum pattern books reproduce in line drawings the rich variety of patterns and designs. each book start with an introduction discusses the main subject and it’s history … followed with useful information that provided in the notes on the materials and techniques of each design illustrated.

these books is a clear and stimulating source of inspiration.
and i hate myself for selling these books :-(

here we go, i am selling books again … but it’s not just the books, i am getting rid of everything almost.
just bored, need some adventure, some risks .. and i feel like i am in prison with these things around me.
what put me in this mood is some documentary films i watched lately, so decided to live a different life the next 6 months. i am not sure what kind of changes i should do, but all what i know that i need a change in my life, so let’s see.
back again to the 40 books, i will try my best to take some shots of the books, and to review some of them .. just to say “thank you” for them, they were my best friends.
the other reason for selling these books is: i can’t enter my flat, it’s full of books :-)
you can find the list of the 40 books [here]

money or happiness?
a question that i used to hear since i came to this world. you hear it everywhere, many movies took this question as the center point of it’s drama, parents used to teach their children that if they have to choose between happiness and money so they have to choose the happiness, in the schools, in colleges, poems, books .. the answer always: choose the happiness.
in my life i never faced a situation that i should choose between money and happiness … but now i am. i have two situations:
1- a place that i will not be happy, i will be frustrated most of the time, but i will be saving lots of money, and i mean it, lots of money.
2- a place where i will be happy ( or at least i will be feeling much much better than the first place), i will not face the same frustration but i will be under pressure, and i will be taking a risk. i will not save anything (or i will save just a few).
so let’s get real!
if you are in this situation, what you will choose, money or happiness?
